William Penn and the Founding of Pennsylvania

Doug Miller, historian and site administrator of Pennsbury Manor will speak about William Penn and the founding of Pennsylvania with a sprinkling of Penn and the Lenape, Quakers, and also touch on his relationship with Bristol. Doug has more than 30 years of experience as a museum director, having served as Director at Hope Lodge, Graeme Park, Washington Crossing and Curtin Village. He is an accreditation peer reviewer for the American Alliance of Museums and he serves as a volunteer consultant in AAM’s Museum Assessment Program.

Children’s Program: there will be informal activities for all children who attend.

12:00 pm Lunch break: soup and chili and desserts provided by Bristol Friends.

1:00 pm Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business

Annual reports from Doylestown, Makefield, and Quakertown Meetings, reports from the Treasurer, including presentation of preliminary FY25-26 budget, the Coordinator, and the Bucks Quarter Outreach Committee. Advance documents are available here.
